OH WHAT FUN! Historically in November, Lubbock and the surrounding communities have kicked off the holiday season with the Junior League of Lubbock. That’s 41 years of shopping, smiles, fun and festivities. This year we hope to celebrate with each of you.
While the shopping and fun are a key part of Holiday Happening, it is about so much more! It’s about raising money to give back to the local community. Over the years, Holiday Happening has raised more than $7 million directly benefitting the South Plains through our own projects, such as South Plains Food2Kids, Kids in the Kitchen and SPARK. Holiday Happening funds have also supported local agencies including Hope Lodge, Ronald McDonald House, and the Children’s Advocacy Center.
As we celebrate the start of the holiday season, we look forward to sharing it with you while we reflect on our past and continue to find new ways to welcome in the holiday season.

Stocking Steals Information:
Each merchant participating in Holiday Happening has provided the Junior League of Lubbock with two $50 gift certificates that shoppers can purchase at half price for $25 each. Make sure to stop by the Stocking Steals table, located outside the entrance to the Banquet Hall, to buy yours before they’re gone. You may only buy two gift cards at a time, and the gift cards must be purchased for different stores.
The money raised from Stocking Steals gift certificates is used to support the Junior League of Lubbock’s signature projects and community efforts.
Holiday Happening Auctions:
Three auctions will take place at Holiday Happening 2022. All bidding will be conducted through our mobile bidding platform, OneCause. That means you can bid on items while enjoying the events and shopping at the Civic Center or from wherever you are during the week.
