For 37 years, the Junior League of Lubbock’s Holiday Happening has become the kickoff to the holiday season on the South Plains each November. Since 1979 the Junior League of Lubbock has raised over 5 million dollars for the Lubbock and surrounding communities. That money has funded numerous community programs and signature projects that make a difference in the lives of children and families every day.
More than 17,000 shoppers attend Holiday Happening to shop with over 130 local and national merchants in one location. Families welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus, on their first visit to the South Plains for the holiday season, at Breakfast with Santa. In addition, there are also two exclusive events, Sneak Peek and Ladies’ Day, which offer an exclusive view into the trends and styles of the 2016 Holiday Season!
While themes, the décor trends, and the one of a kind aprons have changed over the years, one thing has remained the same – the mission to raise funds that go back into the community through the Junior League of Lubbock’s signature projects. By purchasing tickets and attending events, YOU have made raising those funds possible!

Events and Tickets
You may purchase tickets online by making your selections below. Or you may call our ticket number 806.445.9637 or purchase them at the Holiday Happening west ticket booth located at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 Mac Davis Lane anytime during the show. Don’t forget while you are shopping, to purchase Star Tree gift certificates from your favorite Holiday Happening Merchants. Each merchant has provided the Junior League of Lubbock with two $50 gift certificates that shoppers can purchase at ½ price for $25 apiece. Please remember, the gift certificates are only valid during Holiday Happening 2016 and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Star Tree table will be located outside of the Banquet Hall entrance so buy yours before they are gone!
Week Long Auction:
The week long auction will begin at 5:30p.m. on Wednesday, November 16th and end at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 20th. A variety of gift certificates will be packaged together in uniquely themed baskets to be auctioned off online. All bidders will be able to bid on the items either at the Civic Center while they are shopping or online from any location. The Holiday Happening 2016 Committee is excited to offer this convenience, so all of our supporters have a chance to bid on their favorite items even if they are unable to attend.
